Due to COVID-19 social distancing rules, we have moved our AWANA club online using Zoom. If you would like more information, please contact our Children’s Director Amy Andrews.

AWANA  is a global, nonprofit ministry committed to the belief that the greatest impact for Christ starts with kids who know, love, and serve Him (Jesus Christ). It offers a fun, proven approach for early evangelism and discipleship. Scripture-based programs and exciting games promote Bible literacy and help kids develop lifelong faith in Christ.  A recent national survey found AWANA to be as important to our alumni’s spiritual foundation as all other church activities combined. Among alumni who participated in AWANA programs for at least six years, 92.7% still attend church at least weekly as adults! That’s results, and that is why AWANA is important to Jerusalem Baptist Church.

Children in kindergarten to second grade love their red vests, the exciting games and spending time with leaders and friends. Sparks is divided into three years, each with a unique rank: HangGlider®, WingRunner® and SkyStormer™. Each year, Sparks clubbers: explore the biographies of people of the Bible from a new portion of Scripture, memorize Bible verses, complete handbook activities.

T&T_LeahStudys2Truth & Training

T&T engages kids by answering their questions about God and the Bible, guiding them through this pivotal life stage to grow in Christ’s grace. Handbooks and large-group lessons deepen a child’s knowledge about God and His Word and teach how to put that knowledge into action in everyday life. T&T is different from other AWANA programs. It is comprised of two clubs with distinct curriculum, uniforms and awards: Ultimate Adventure (3rd and 4th grades) and Ultimate Challenge (5th & 6th grades)

• Ultimate Adventure (3rd – 4th Grade)

Answer younger students’ questions about God and the Bible with appealing curriculum! Whether you split your club by age or keep everyone together, these handbooks act as a personalized learning tool for third- and fourth- graders. Each handbook is spiral-bound and contains eight Discoveries, plus Silver and Gold extra-credit sections. Also includes pages to help parents encourage handbook progress and spiritual growth.

• Ultimate Challenge (5th – 6th Grade)

Get older students excited about their place in God’s plan! Ultimate Challenge Book One and Two are exclusively for fifth- and sixth-graders. The books feature “older” T&T character artwork that appeals to upper-elementary students. Ultimate Challenge books contain eight Challenges, plus Silver and Gold extra-credit sections. Also includes pages to help parents encourage handbook progress and spiritual growth.

TREK (7th–8th Grade)

AWANA Youth Ministries has launched a new 3-year middle school curriculum. This new program challenges students to wrestle with the three most important questions they’re asking in middle school:
  • Who am I?
  • Why am I here?
  • Who’s with me?
By allowing students to dive deep into the Scriptures and answer these questions for themselves we allow them to own their faith and discover what they actually believe.
